"Electric installation work, network connection"
As current load of supply lines has recently been rising, copper cables are installed in wiring, while aluminium ones are changed - under such conditions aluminium superheats; that may lead to a short circuit.
According to the new standards nowadays three-core double-braided cables 4,5mm2 are used. In residential buildings during electric installation work concealed wiring is applied; in this case cable is recommended to be installed in corrugated pipes for the purpose of the wiring protection from mechanical injuries. In the case of wiring in social buildings cable is installed in cable-trunkings.
The main types of cable used for electric installation work, are:
PVC – is a flexible polyvinylchloride-sheathed copper cable, used for electric installation work as well as for low-tension equipment and household appliances;
VVG – is a power copper cable, used for residential and industrial buildings wiring;
ShVVP is a double-core copper cable, which is used mainly for electric appliances connection;
NYM – is a power single-core or multicore copper cable, used for stationary electric power supply connection.
When wiring accessories are being connected, each of them is earthed. A common mistake is earthing of a separate circuit not connected with the neutral wire of the network. Wiring without neutral earthing is possible in the case of using RCD (Residual current device).
Wiring equipment producers market in Russia is represented by the following leading brands:
Legrand (France), Merten (Germany), Gira (Germany), Berker (Germany), Jung (Germany), Fontini (Spain), Bticino (Italy), Lithoss (Belgium).
