"The use of mortars for finishing works"
The quality of general construction and finishing works, as well as their due dates, to a great extent depends on the level of the preparatory works execution. At the prime stage, dismounting works are carried out, surfaces (floor, walls, ceiling) are buffed and priming takes its process; in the case of smooth surface a common primer (concrete, reinforced concrete, oil-paint remainders) the optimal variant for interior and exterior works is using primer incorporating Quartz filler, which provides adhesion of bond plasters to the substrate surface.
In the case of rough surface common primer can be used. If the work is executed in a dump room Aquastop primer should be used, as it prevents ingress of moisture into the brick (stone), wood and other surfaces by filling up the microcracks. After priming of surfaces and application of mortars are completed, priming of the dried mortared surfaces is made in order to strengthen the applied coating before the following tile paving, paint applying, wallpaper hanging etc.
The production of modern top-grade building materials affords the opportunity of increasing the level of the general construction and finishing works. The quality of dry-mix mortars which include glues and assembly mortars, fillings, mixes for floor leveling and joints finish, plasters, and sealing compounds is specially important here. According to the prices and quality as well as purpovses of use the materials are subdivided into three grades: A, B, C. Among the producers we can point out the following ones: Vetonit, Bergauf, Knauf, Weber, Osnovit, Petromix.
Finishing materials can be used for a range of purposes. For example, besides of plasters of general use, there exist decorative plasters.
